How to Submit


The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is now opening a new gallery in March 2022 and is hosting the international open call for photographers.

The Glasgow gallery of photography is hosting an open call for all photographers of all genres and categories of photography. 
The international open call will be a 10 day photography exhibition, 
after 2 years of the creative industries struggling through a pandemic, with galleries closed and practitioners struggling to showcase their work, this exhibitions will bring your work to a new public audience in a professional gallery setting.

Submission of up to 10 images to this exhibition cost £30.00 but this fee covers everything and we guarantee at least 1 of your images will be selected as we favour community over competition.

Once you have submitted your work it will be selected by our gallery curator and exhibitions co-ordinator, your work will then be sent to a reputable local printer and your work will be printed on Fujifilm photographic paper to a very high standard. We will then frame and hang our work in our new black gallery frames acquired from a well respected local frame maker, the work will then be curated and hung in the gallery for a period of 10 days where it will be viewed by members of the public, photographers, artists, curators, journalists etc. The work will also then be displayed on the website and sent to our mailing list of over 1000 people, it will also be shared to thousands of people on social media. The purpose of which is to bring your work to a new much wider audience.
your name will be displayed along side your work and if you wish to have your selected work for sale (PRINT ONLY) we can organise that also, just tell us how much you would like to sell your work for 90% of the sale will go to the photographer (We take a small 10% fee to cover admin and processing fees and things like packaging and postage should the item need to be posted)

The exhibition will take place at the second half of March. (Exact date tbc)


STEP 1: Please submit up to 10 images that are 300ppi
and 1600 Pixels minimum on the longest side. Work will be displayed in 16x12inch or our 12x12 square black frames with a maximum of 70 Images per exhibition.


STEP 2: Name your image file. JohnSmith1.jpeg etc (If you do not name your images correctly they could be lost or misplaced and delay the exhibition)

STEP 3: Make sure your image is a JPEG, we can only except jpegs as this is what the printing company that we use requires.

STEP 4: Send us your 1 to 10 jpegs with your name ( Your nationality would also be good) via Wetransfer/Dropbox to


STEP 5: Pay your participation fee at the button below.

STEP 6: Relax, we'll do the rest.

We will then post on social media and our website where each image can be located, we will also provide online images for our International exhibitors.
(PLEASE don't keep emailing asking us to send you images, We are a busy working gallery, we will photograph and post them once they are all installed)
Images will be chosen by the exhibition curator, we will chose as many as we can but space is limited so we will insure everyone has at least 1 image on display.
Images will be displayed in our new special frames.
